The nature of consciousness and the origins of the soul are two of the greatest mysteries of humankind. Presence and awareness can be experienced through yoga and meditation. Through these practices, we can witness and expand our consciousness. As we continue to expand and evolve, we raise our vibration and elevate each other.

​While this retreat will offer practices for rest, relaxation, and restoration, it is also a deep-dive into exploring our thoughts, emotions, and our reactions to them so that we can cultivate resilience in the coming year. Some topics may be difficult or ask you to become aware of uncomfortable feelings. You will be held in a supportive space to explore whatever comes up for you during this experience. Please do not enroll in this retreat if you are not ready (or willing) to do the work, however, a little curiosity and anxiety will be worth the insights you will gain from your inward journey. Use your best judgment.

How does a virtual retreat work?
We have all felt the frustration of not being able to travel right now. Thankfully, we have the technology that allows us to bring a nurturing retreat into your home during a time when you are unable to come to us. Just because we are not physically occupying the same space does not diminish the benefits you'll receive from the practices, activities, and insights we will share together.


100% online using ZOOM.
Join from ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. *If you are unable to attend any of the LIVE sessions, don't worry. They will be recorded and saved for you to revisit as your schedule allows. You will have unlimited access to all sessions and materials forever.


We'll use ZOOM for our Group Discussion Sessions, so that we can all participate in lively conversation, venting of frustrations, and sharing of joy!

What happens if you miss a LIVE session on Zoom?
Of course we want to be able to interact with you in real time, but we understand that LIFE happens, and sometimes you might not be able to make it to the live session. Don't worry! We will save the recordings of all sessions. You will have the ability to go back and watch (or re-watch) as many times as you want!

The retreat will begin officially at 10am on Sunday, February 28th (Arizona Time / MST) with our first ZOOM session.​

Yoga Teachers may receive 7 Continuing Education Hours through Yoga Alliance and may apply these hours towards a 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training with Wise Owl Wellness.

Cancellation / Refund policy:
No refunds since you will have full access to all zoom recordings in the event you are not able to attend at the time of live broadcast. If you decide that you do not wish to be included in the retreat, your access will be revoked and your payment may be applied to a future class, event, workshop, or training presented by Wise Owl Wellness.


Your Host:
Kristy Harvey, Owner of Wise Owl Wellness 

Kristy Harvey has over 15 years of experience as a movement educator, writer, and public speaker on topics of mindfulness, work - life balance, and living vibrantly. Her book, Mindfulness On the Move, gives suggestions on how to find stillness through movement. She is a Licensed Brown Belt Nia Instructor, an E-RYT500 Yoga Instructor and Trainer, Thai Yoga Bodywork Trainer, and owner of Wise Owl School of Yoga. She offers 200, 300, and 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings and Continuing Education courses for Yoga Teachers.

Kristy is the former Administrative Director of the Mindfulness Center at the University of Virginia. In 2010, she developed and implemented a clinical trial at the University of Virginia Cancer Center to study the effect of the Nia Technique among women treated for breast cancer. The study is currently in review for publication in a medical journal. In 2011, she started a Restorative Yoga program for breast cancer survivors and caregivers at the UVA School of Nursing. Both of these programs are still ongoing.

In 2016, Kristy founded the Wise Owl School of Yoga and began offering 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings. Since then, she has certified over 50 new yoga teachers. Through generous donations to the Wise Owl School of Yoga's Pay It Forward Fund, Kristy has been able to grant partial and full scholarships to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color to assist in their completion of a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification. This supports the mission of Wise Owl Wellness to bring more diverse yoga teachers to the world and "change the face" of yoga.

In 2020, Kristy ventured into teaching online with the membership based Wise Owl Wellness LIVE group on Facebook. There she livestreams classes weekly in Nia, Yoga, Meditation, and more. In January 2021, Kristy will launch her first 300 Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training. Kristy has helped hundreds of people learn new ways to find happiness at work and at home. You can find her teaching yoga, leading retreats, and dancing through life. She currently lives in Tucson, AZ.
