The Yoga Book Club

Presented by Wise Owl Wellness


The Yoga Book Club is an online gathering that will explore one book each month that is related to Yoga. Participation is open to anyone who would like to join in the monthly discussions.


Participation fees are collected as a fundraiser for the Wise Owl School of Yoga Pay It Forward Fund, which provides partial and full scholarships to students who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, Over age 65, or Differently Abled. Click here to learn more about the Pay-It-Forward Fund.


Monthly ZOOM discussions are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM (Arizona Time). Please check your time zone for attendance. The live ZOOM discussions will not be recorded.

Book: Yoga and Body Image by Melanie Klein & Anna Guest-Jelley


Your facilitator: Kristy Harvey, E-RYT500, has been teaching yoga and therapeutic dance for over 16 years. She is the former Administrative Director of the Mindfulness Center at the University of Virginia. Her book, Mindfulness On the Move (2014, Lulu Press), offers alternatives to traditional meditation techniques. She leads 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, Continuing Education Programs for Yoga Teachers and Bodyworkers, Trainings and Certifications in Thai Yoga Bodywork, and Coaching Programs in Anti-Inflammatory Eating and Living a Happier Life. She currently lives in Tucson, AZ.
