"This online YTT was truly a dream come true. I was nervous not having done a course of study of any kind for a quite some time. I recently turned 60 so never too late! I took Nia and yoga classes with Kristy back in ~2012 and had such fond memories of her. So I reached out to inquire about the program that was to begin within a week (!) Kristy was so encouraging. After sitting with it, it was clear that indeed I was to do this particular program with this particular teacher at this particular time. Gratitude for the clear guidance. Kristy is kind, supportive, flexible, and fun! I felt my brain was stimulated and my heart excited to learn! I had no idea that we would have lessons on such a wide variety of topics. I cannot express how delighted I am because I feel that this training was so extensive for a 200 hr training. I really loved the variety. The online yoga classes are beyond awesome! I love the music, the tree and the mountains in the background. It's great hearing your voice and actually seeing you do the poses, this will really help at home when I'm alone. Especially, on days where I am needing to hear your sweet, calming voice as I do the poses, so I can focus more! I am getting to the point where I don't have to refer to the session sheets as much and more on the breaths and my body just knowing what to do, but I am so excited to watch these awesome videos!!!! When I first went to Kristy’s class I was apprehensive ,and concerned about my ability to participate. I began by being in the back row and hoping I wasn’t being too disruptive by messing up the dance routine. Not only do I have two left feet but also I’m hearing impaired. I soon realized I would learn easier by being in the front of the class. I often didn’t get the steps correctly but with Kristy’s accepting ,kindness I learned that it wasn’t a big deal. It was so great to have a teacher like Kristy from who I felt loved and accepted. I did get to enjoy Nia more and more even though I often was not perfect. Eventually that no longer mattered and I was having fun. Kristy is a gift for those of us who are not experienced dancers. I gained confidence, strength, balance and endurance.
